Byron gives amazing wine and pairing lectures. The PowerPoint may be made by corporate, but the additional context and panache he provides is impeccable. Highly suggest booking several weeks in advance. It would be great if this store also offered some premium-focused tastings that gave Byron and Kurt more room to pick their favorites, from region specific tastings to comparisons of certain grapes or wine styles around the world. If Total Wine ever considered offering organized wine trips to California, Washington, Oregon, and European destinations, that would also be amazing for customers, and great for staff education.

I was there on Saturday and left without purchasing. I was completely dehumanized by the cashier. His comments about the nature of my relationship with my husband were bigoted, hurtful, and unprofessional. Both of us have reached out to total wine and more’s customer service on separate occasions to discuss our experience. We did not hear back from anyone. This leaves us to believe that anti-lgbt bigotry is part of the company’s culture from top down. If you are gay, or an ally to the community; I would encourage you to find smaller, more local, and certainly more professional alternatives in purchasing wine.

My no.1 favorite place to go for beer and wine shopping. LOVE the selection, service and prices. They have the most educated and knowledgeable staffs to help you out with any wine questions. It’s also great that ABC is in the same shopping center ?

I always love to go to this TotalWine&MORE in McLean, VA. Here people are very friendly, especially Margaret and William. Margaret and William are not only staff, but also my good friends! They always give me best suggestions and recommendations. For every question that I ask, they always answer me with great patience!

Huge collection of wines...plus their price are as competitive as Costco☺☺
Their wine collection are huge. Be cabernet, chardonnay, pinot noir, port wine dessert wine, reserve, rose, all have great stock.
For gift purpose as well, this is good place to visit. They have huge glass and cheese collection as well

I'm a huge fan of this place, I can't believe I've never been to one before. I came here to look for a bottle of wine as a gift. I gotta saw- I wasn't ready! I couldn't believe how big this place was and I think the staff saw it on my face. One of them stopped to ask if I needed any help - his name was Alan. He asked me a couple of questions and I ended up in the Bordeaux section. I walked up and down the aisle a couple times before I realized that the wine I picked is also one of his favorites. He stopped by and told me about it. It's called Clos Labarde St. Emilion. He also advised me to make sure I aerate it before drinking. I told him it was going to be a gift but I'm going to pick another one for me to try. He then recommended another bottle which was actually cheaper than the one I picked, called Chateau Bois Redon. I also ended up picking up a nice Sparkling champagne called Rivata. So I was carrying three bottles (didn't get a basket since I thought I was just getting one bottle). Here comes Alan to the rescue with a basket! He's so helpful. This place is such a delight. While standing at the register, I notice they have a humidor. I'll have to check that out with my husband next time.

The Redon was ok, not to surprising because of the price but the Rivata was surprisingly delicious!! I am definitely coming back.

Alway a good selection here. Virginia you can buy wine only. I found in Georgia you can not use your rewards on alcohol purchases.
