What a massive WASTE of time. My hubby and I had a few minutes before we needed to be at a wedding, so we stopped in to try on some shoes really fast. Planned on spending 15 minutes MAX. It doesn’t take long to try on a few pairs of shoes, right?

We showed up & all that was available were display shoes to look at, then you’re supposed call an employee over to scan & bring the desired size to you from the back.

There were only two people working that area, and I felt bad because it was so busy & people were getting impatient. These two kids were left to handle at least 12 other people needing shoes.

It took almost 15 minutes just to get one pair of shoes out to us. The girl brought out the wrong pair, said it was because the barcode was wrong. She came back again after a few minutes, and brought the right shoe, but wrong size. We asked for 11s and she brought us the match to display shoe, we told her it was a 10.5 not an 11. She was like ‘no, this is the right one.’ Uh, well. We can see in the shoe it says 10.5. That moment marked us being there for 20 minutes. We didn’t even get to try on the shoes we wanted because we had to leave.

Had the stock been put out like normal stores, we could have tried on all the shoes we wanted & likely purchased a pair or two.

I recommend returning to that system.

This is not a review of products, but of the service I received particularly from Brent in the golf department.

I’ll start out by saying I was an avid shopper at Dicks for all my sporting needs, mostly golf. But my last experience has led me to never shop there after the lack of service received by their golf department. I had a callaway driver that got a dent in it. I reached out to callaway directly to get it replaced (still under the 2yr manufacturer warranty). They instructed me to take it to an authorized callaway dealer to be inspected and start the warranty process.

I took it to dicks Monday October 28th, I spoke to Terry and gave him my spill about how I had reached out to callaway directly and they instructed me to bring to Dicks to verify the condition of the club and to be sent in for a replacement. Terry was very helpful. Took my club, name, phone number and said Brent (head of the golf section) would be in later and would start my warranty process. I called the following day to speak to Brent just so we were on the same page because I wasn’t able to speak with him directly that Monday when I dropped the club off.

All was well after we spoke on the phone and was told he had already reached out to callaway and was waiting for them to send a shipping label and would be sent off later Tuesday or the following day.

Fast forward to Saturday, November 2nd. I stopped in to the store to get some golf balls and some other golf apparel and figured I’d check in and see what the status of my warranty claim was. To my surprise as I approached the counter, I see my club sitting on the counter in the same spot with the same note that Terry had attached to my club when I dropped it off Monday. I asked the teenage employee working the golf counter at the time to speak to Brent and was told he was not working that day.
Being very frustrated I took my club back from them and reached out to callaway directly and told them the experience I had with their authorized dealer. Callaway apologized for the experience that I had. Within 3 days of me reaching out to callaway the 2nd time I had a brand new replacement club on my doorstep with instructions and return label as to where to send my damaged club back to.

Dicks has forever lost my business and I encourage anyone, especially if you’re looking for golf gear to take their business to a place that cares about their customers and the service they provide to them. Callaway customer service 10/10. Dicks, particularly Brent in the golf department.. -10/10.

We came in to buy some shoes, there is a self-service kiosk that you can request to try on shoes and they will bring them to you. We got a couple brought out to us. The Customer Service in the shoe department is practically nonexistent if you have questions or need a different size. The store has a great selection of items for both men, women and children. The store was very clean and the cashiers at the front were very nice and friendly.

I have been here many times and everyone is so nice. Recently, my boy left his Apple Watch behind and they were so kind finding it and keeping it for pick up.

Mike was an awesome help when I was looking for running shoes and equipment to help with my foot injury. We talked about running and he made tons of great suggestions. They have a ton of good running products there too

Shoe store was a joke. Everything we wanted to try on they said was only available online even tho their kiosk said they were ok stock. Person on floor doesn't go back to stock so you wait 15 minutes for each pair you want to try to be told they don't have them. It's horrible.. worst business model I've ever seen.

i ordered two owala water bottles i waited so long on the waiting list for and they both arrived slightly dented. There was no way for an exchange because it was out of stock and the refund i got on 80 dollars for damaged product was 8 dollars. Don’t order anything online. Will not be returning
