I've been dealing with long and McQuade since the early 90's and have never had a problem, the selection is awesome no matter what you play or if you need rentals the staff is very friendly and helpful, they are very knowledgeable in each of their respective areas of expertise, if you're a beginner or advanced, i highly recommend you drop in to long and McQuade cheers.

Probably the best selection of musical instruments and accessories in the area. On the guitar side I find the staff to be more friendly than on the other side, I always feel like I am inconveniencing the staff when I ask them questions about audio gear or drum equipment. Seems like its just me because of all the great reviews on google. They can order in what they do not carry in store.

Horrible service … literally went in last week to look at a guitar and wouldn’t sell it at the time for me , and went in yesterday the price went from $800 to $1599. This was with the supervisor and I can’t support dictatorship. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from this store.

We have bought all our musical instruments and equipment from Long & McQuade. They have the best service of any store I've ever dealt with (in any industry) and their staff always go a step beyond to help. Their staff (mostly talented musicians themselves) are absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable!

As a non-musician, they have helped me through the purchase of guitars, drums, amplifiers and assorted cables, strings, guitar pics, pedals, and other stuff for my musician children. They have a great extended warranty and their prices are always competitive. When I first started buying instruments I shopped prices around but Long & McQuade was always the best. I don't bother to check now because I have come to value their service so much more than their low prices. (I've got big confidence that their prices are always competitive and they back that up with a price match guarantee.)

I have many stories about the above and beyond treatment and service we've received but I will share this one. A few years ago, we bought my son an acoustic guitar. The salesman sat with him for almost three hours showing him different guitars and finding the one that my son absolutely felt was right for him. The store was busy that day, by no means were we buying a super expensive guitar, and I'm sure he probably could have sold something more valuable in that time. It didn't matter, he spent the time to make sure my son found the guitar he loved. To this day my son still loves to play that acoustic.

In a world of online shopping I hope that we always have Long & McQuade as a place where great service and value are beyond reproach. The ability to go in and get educated by passionate, caring musicians, who leave no stone unturned in the quest for customer satisfaction is so valuable. They set the bar very high!

Jeremy is an absolute legend. Blair is an absolute legend. I dealt with those two today. They showed so much patience with myself as a guitar noob. Jeremy took the time to explain so many things to me and also gave excellent buying advice. Both men were clearly interested more in guitars and music as a passion than trying to sell someone something. Super refreshing experience overall. 10/10 would recommend.

Wow! I entered this store to rent a guitar, and as a beginner I was nervous because I didn't know what I'd need. The staff were all amazingly helpful, and helped me get the right rental and a head start on learning. Their customer service was amazing!
